Students are at the centre of everything we do and we want them to have high aspirations and to excel academically and socially. Through collaboration, every aspect of our work is of high quality.
‘All different, all equal’ summarises what makes Kenton a great school. Our school is rich in diversity and culture. Our fantastic students make the Academy a brilliant and inclusive place to learn and achieve. Our priority is to provide a safe, secure and engaging learning environment – one that is inclusive, ambitious and challenging.

Our Year 11 students had the opportunity to attend a performance of An Inspector Calls at the Sunderland Empire.
The experience was both enriching and valuable, providing them with a deeper understanding of the play that will undoubtedly enhance their studies.
In light of the discussions that followed, we’ve scheduled an additional session for the half term, which will take place on Thursday, 17th April, with Mrs. Cadwallender in C112. Students will be able to collect a paper copy of the play if they're already planning to attend Science or maths intervention on that day.

We instil a sense of community in our students, as well as a sense of belonging and compassion for those around them. We ensure that each student feels a part of our school and is active in the school community.
We foster a sense of aspiration and achievement in our students from their first day in Year 7. We support each individual throughout their time with us to both achieve and exceed their future goals.
We offer structure, support and opportunity for each student, irrespective of background or disadvantage and work hard to create an environment where every student is heard.
Through our broad and balanced curriculum and our pastoral care system, we equip our students with the necessary skills to be able to compete on a world-class stage.
