We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Bill Jordon CBE on 14 March 2025.

Bill was a wonderfully supportive Member at Northern Leaders Trust, who also spent a term as Interim Headteacher at Kenton School in 2022.

Bill was awarded a CBE for Services to Education in 2004, and his wisdom, experience, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him. We would like to thank Bill for his service and our heartfelt thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

And Bill, we will always remember your wise words and strive to live by them - "Keep on keeping on."

End Racism. Take Action.

Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination—a powerful reminder that racism has no place in our society and that we must actively challenge it.

At our school, we live by the values of Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Engaged. This means:

✅ Being kind—treating everyone with respect and challenging discrimination whenever we see it.
✅ Being safe—creating an environment where every student feels valued, heard, and protected.
✅ Being engaged—educating ourselves, speaking up, and leading by example to drive meaningful change.

Equality isn’t optional. It’s our responsibility. In school, in our communities, and beyond—let’s build a world where everyone truly belongs.

Attendance in schools is improving, but persistent absence has a huge impact and there’s still work to be done 🚸

There is still work to be done , my son got sent home twice because he was ill and both times it went down as unauthorised absents . Surely that can not be right .

Tell the teachers to turn up! That might be a start to getting the kids believing in the "one trust rule"!
