Why study this course? 

You can tailor the course to fit your needs, aspirations and interests. We have a dedicated ceramics studio with three kilns. This is the ideal place to develop skills in Ceramics. 

What interests should you have? 

A creative imagination and a love of practical, hands-on learning. Students should have an interest in fine art and sculpture, architecture and 3D design as well as photography and creative flair. 

How will you be assessed? 

• Component 1: Personal Investigation Portfolio and essay – 60% 
• Component 2: Externally Set Assignment – 40% 

What will the course cover? 

Skills such as thumb pots, coil pots, slab pots, throwing on the wheel, art history and building a portfolio.
