British Values

British Values are explicitly taught in PSHE lessons and revisited regularly in Connect activities.  They are an integral part of our Leaders Curriculum sessions applying Safe – Engaged – Kind and British Values to real-life scenarios.

All curriculum areas identify opportunities to teach British Values and identify these opportunities in their Schemes of Learning.

Opportunities to explore British Values in lessons are made explicit to students via the Why This Why Now slides which link prior learning to new content, personal development and careers.  Symbols representing each of the British Values are used in lesson resources to further highlight their importance to students in different curriculum areas. 

The British Values poster is visible in every classroom.
