Why study this course? 

This course is a highly valued and recognised academic course. Throughout this course, you will develop a greater understanding of the English Language and the factors that have shaped and are shaping it. You will have the chance to investigate an area of language of your choice and produce your own piece of original writing.

An interest in what language is about; how it is used, how different factors can affect the way we speak and the words we use; past, present and future. The state of the English Language; how we – as children – learn to speak, read and write.
