Why study this course?

This course broadens and deepens the areas covered in A Level Mathematics. It develops your overall ability with mathematical skills and introduces you to new topics, such as matrices and complex numbers, which are vital for maths-rich degrees in areas such as sciences, engineering, statistics and computing, as well as mathematics itself.

What interests should you have?

The course requires a sound initial understanding of mathematics, which you will develop, as you study more about the abstract and complex nature of mathematics.

How will you be assessed?

Further Maths is assessed at both AS Level at the end of Year 12 and A Level at the end of Year 13. The qualification is solely examination based.
