About us

Sport@Kenton is a community sports facility serving the West of Newcastle. We are located within the grounds of Kenton School, Newcastle only minutes away from the A1 and Newcastle City Centre. Kenton Academy Trust has operated the current sports facility since April 2012. We are open 7 days a week all year round.

The Leisure Centre offers some amazing facilities in the North West of the city with a growing number of activities on offer. We facilitate a number of successful clubs and organisations. Why not contact us to see if we can accommodate your club or organisation.

We have ample car parking on site, public transport runs regularly from the City Centre with the number 10 & 11 bus service stopping only a short walk away. The sports centre is the first building you come to as you drive in to the car park, our entrance is to the left of the main school reception just before you reach the giraffes on the main lawn.

Sports Hall £70ph full & £35ph Half

3G 1/3^rd £35ph / 2/3rds £55ph / full £75ph / £120 for a 90minute game on a weekend.

Newly refurbished top of the range floodlit full size 3G all weather football pitch.

suitable for 5&6 a side games and line markings and goals for mini soccer and 11v11.

Conference rooms available from £15ph.

Fitness Suite

No joining fee and no contract. We have a 40 station fitness suite located on the second floor. The fitness suite is fully air-conditioned and comprises of 20 pieces of CV equipment, 20 pieces of resistant weight machines and a brand new weights area including a smith machine, preacher bench curl, Cables machine and free weights area.

To secure your booking you will need to call reception on 01912869293 and pay a £50 deposit.

Full payment is required 6 weeks prior to the party date.

Traditional Party:

• Half of the sports hall 
• 1 x Bouncy castles
• 1 x Inflatable slide
• 1 x Inflatable activity centre 
• Matted area with a selection of soft play toys
• Seating for up to 40 children 
• 15 minutes set up and clean down time

£150 for 1hr 45mins (Extend to 2hrs for £165)

Saturday & Sunday time slots: 10am – 11.45pm / 12.30pm – 2.15pm / 3pm – 4.45pm

Jungle Theme:

We have ample free car parking on site, Public Transport run regularly from the City Centre with the number 10 & 11 bus service stopping only a short walk away (On Kenton Lane), The entrance is just off Kenton lane and not drayton road. The sports centre is the first building you come to as you drive in to the car park, our entrance is before you reach the giraffes on the main lawn.

We are only two minutes drive from the A1.
