‘All different, all equal’ summarises what makes Kenton a great school. Our school is rich in diversity and culture. Our fantastic students make the Academy a brilliant and inclusive place to learn and achieve. Our priority is to provide a safe, secure and engaging learning environment – one that is inclusive, ambitious and challenging.

Let’s talk about Enrichment
Enrichment is a key element of our 6th form offer at Kenton. We offer a wide range of activities that allow students to experience new things, develop 'power skills', have an insight into career areas and extend their learning.
Today a group of Year 12 students had their first British Sign Language lesson with Hands On British Sign Language Training. They will follow a 10 week accredited course and got off to a flying start!

🏠 Year 9 Maths Construction Challenge 🏠
For their maths construction challenge, students were tasked with designing a housing estate. They were guided by experts from the construction industry who shared their knowledge in areas such as quantity surveying, designing, social responsibility and environmental factors.
Each team worked cohesively to produce their chosen design and present their ideas to the expert judging panel. The panel commended them on their confidence and ability to work together, but more importantly, they were blown away by their knowledge and ideas.

A very special Freddo Friday guest on Facebook today, as we wish our Wayne a fond farewell.
Always kind and always smiling, Wayne has greeted staff, students, parents and visitors at the Kenton gates (in all weathers!) for the past 15 years. We are all going to miss him!
He has been an incredibly valued member of staff and we wish him all the best for his next adventures!

💥Work of Wonder Wednesday💥
❓What is it?
This is an opportunity each week for students in Key Stage 3 to share a piece of work they are proud of.
❓How does it work?
The students bring the work to Mr Taylor in the dining room on a Wednesday lunchtime, so he can see the work of wonder!
❓How do we celebrate?
Students receive a postcard and a treat. When the students bring work for four different weeks, they can pick a reading book from over a hundred options.

We instil a sense of community in our students, as well as a sense of belonging and compassion for those around them. We ensure that each student feels a part of our school and is active in the school community.
We foster a sense of aspiration and achievement in our students from their first day in Year 7. We support each individual throughout their time with us to both achieve and exceed their future goals.
We offer structure, support and opportunity for each student, irrespective of background or disadvantage and work hard to create an environment where every student is heard.
Through our broad and balanced curriculum and our pastoral care system, we equip our students with the necessary skills to be able to compete on a world-class stage.
